​About the RoboCup

​When technology meets passion!

​With teams from more than 50 nations, RoboCup is the world's largest competition for intelligent robots. Every year, students and researchers compete against each other with their developments in the fields of robotics, AI, computer science, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering in visionary application disciplines.

A central discipline is soccer, in which - similar to other soccer competitions - robots play against each other in different leagues. The German teams are among the most successful participants every year and the German Open is the most important event for Europe.

Volunteers

​Every year, we look for volunteers to help us run our competitions. Volunteers are usually provided with accommodation and meals during the tournament.

Applications for volunteers for the next German Open will open in early 2026. If you would like to express your interest now, please contact us by email at kontakt@robocup.de
