​RoboCup German Open 2024

​Messe Kassel will become a science hotspot from April 18 to 21, 2024.
The RoboCup German Open is the event of the year for intelligent robotics and
the most important event on the scene in Europe. The competitions for national and international teams who are passionate about the research, development and application of AI, robotics, computer science, electrical and mechanical engineering
are a magnet for researchers, students and pupils.

More than 800 active participants from all over the world are expected at Messe Kassel, including the major leagues with over 30 national and international teams from Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands and the USA, among others, as well as the best 200 school teams from Germany in the junior leagues, the age group from 10 to 19 years.

​​Can I come to the event without pre-registration?

Basically yes, visitors are very welcome. For school classes, please register in advance here: Registration for school classes

​Do I have to reserve a place if I want to attend the event, and are there capacity limits?

Reservations are not necessary. However, school classes and groups are advised to register in advance:  Registration for school classes

​What are the opening hours of the RoboCup German Open 2024?

Competitions in the RoboCup Junior League will take place from April 19-21 and in the RoboCup Major League from April 18-20. The halls will open for visitors at 09:00 on each competition day and close at 18:30 at the latest.

​How much is the entrance fee and is there a sliding scale, e.g. for day tickets?

Admission is staggered as follows:

  • 5€/person: Fri+Sat        
  • 3€/person: Thu+Sun        
  • Free admission: Pupils on presentation of their school ID and school classes        
  • Students: 50% on presentation of student ID card        

Admission for school classes is free of charge. Early registration ensures that everything runs smoothly.

​​​How do I get to Messe Kassel?
  • Car/bus: Free parking is available in the vicinity of the exhibition grounds. Parking directly on the exhibition grounds is not permitted.

  • Public transportation: Messe Kassel is easily accessible via local bus and train connections. You can find up-to-date information on connections and any increases in transport services at the weekend at nvv.de. 

  • For detailed route planning: Use the address Messe Kassel, Damaschkestraße 55, 34121 Kassel for your navigation device or a route planning app. 

  • The entrance will be located at the gate to Hall 5.
