The RoboCup German Open - open to national and international Major teams - will be held again in 2025. The event will take place from March 12 to 16, 2025 at the Messe Nürnberg (major tournament 12.-16.3., junior final tournament 13.-16.3.). About 800 active participants are expected. We expect national attention in the media. The event attracts many visitors every year, including schoolchildren interested in technology, robotics and AI.The event is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). The first German Robotics Conference, which brings together top German researchers in AI-based robotics, and the Freizeit Messe with 70k visitors will take place at the same time. The RoboCup German Open are open to the public. We expect great interest from both experts and the general public. We expect high-caliber visitors paired with a lot of expertise from politics, research and business.
The RoboCup German Open 2025 is organized by the RoboCup Committee Germany and TU Darmstadt with the support of Nuremberg Institute of Technology Georg Simon Ohm and WorldSkills Germany in cooperation with the Robotics Institute Germany (RIG). The event is sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

They can test their skills on the practice tracks and the first scoring runs take place. The major teams have their competitions in the leagues.13.03. bis 15.03 – Wettbewerbstage (Junior & Major)Open to the public and trade fair visitors.Competition days with the scored runs of the leagues.16.03 – Finaltag (Junior & Major)Open to the public and trade fair visitors.Final competitions followed by a prize-giving ceremony.
